2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – No Crank With U1888
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine will not crank and DTC U1888 is stored. CAUSE Corrosion inside the underhood auxiliary fuse block caused a low-voltage feed at terminal J1, preventing BECM and serial-data-gateway communication. CORRECTION Remove and replace the auxiliary fuse block, clear DTC U1888, and verify module communication and starting operation.
2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – Slow Cranking After Engine Repair
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine cranks very slowly after engine repairs and the hybrid battery measures just over 200 volts with the key on. CAUSE The high-voltage battery state of charge was too low to crank the engine at normal speed, while remaining above the 180-volt jump-assist threshold. CORRECTION Recharge the high-voltage battery with the approved jump-assist procedure and verify normal cranking and starting operation.
2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – Service Stability Message With C0710-5A
CUSTOMER CONCERN Service Stability message is displayed with DTC C0710-5A. CAUSE Testing confirmed a failed steering-wheel position sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed steering-wheel position sensor. Center and calibrate the replacement sensor.
2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – Reduced Engine Power With P2135
CUSTOMER CONCERN Engine enters reduced-power mode with DTC P2135. CAUSE Testing confirmed a failed throttle-position-sensor cover assembly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the throttle-position-sensor cover. Program the ECM and perform the required throttle relearn.
2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – Power Running Boards Do Not Communicate
CUSTOMER CONCERN Power running boards are inoperative and the Automatic Step Control Module does not communicate. CAUSE Network testing confirmed a fault in the low-speed GMLAN data circuit. CORRECTION Repair the failed low-speed GMLAN data circuit wiring.
