CUSTOMER CONCERN The check engine light is on with DTC P0448 stored. CAUSE Command testing of the EVAP vent valve and its external filter confirmed that the canister vent-control valve was stuck closed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the EVAP canister vent-control valve.
2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid – Check Engine Light and High Idle With P0507
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light is on and engine idle speed is too high. DTC P0507 is stored. CAUSE Idle-speed testing confirmed the idle-air volume adaptation was not completing, leaving engine speed more than 200 rpm above the target value. CORRECTION Perform accelerator-pedal released-position learning, throttle-valve closed-position learning and idle-air volume learning. Clear DTC P0507 and verify normal idle speed.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle will not start after the discharged 12-volt battery was replaced. DTC P0A0D returns immediately. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the high-voltage battery service-plug grip was not fully seated, leaving the safety interlock open. CORRECTION Correctly seat and latch the high-voltage battery service-plug grip. Clear DTC P0A0D and verify READY-mode operation.

CAUSE The inverter cooling reservoir was empty, and inspection confirmed coolant leaking from an inverter cooling-system hose. CORRECTION Repair leaking inverter cooling-system hose. Refill and bleed inverter cooling circuit, clear DTCs P0A93 and P0AC4 and verify coolant circulation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the tire-pressure warning light is on. DTC C1727 identifies low battery voltage from the left-rear tire-pressure sensor. CAUSE The internal battery in the left-rear tire-pressure monitoring sensor was depleted. CORRECTION Remove and replace left-rear tire-pressure monitoring sensor. Register sensor identification and perform TPMS relearn.
