2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Stalls After Storage With P0BBD and P1A1F
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine stalls after the vehicle sat for an extended period and DTCs P0BBD and P1A1F are stored. CAUSE The high-voltage battery state of charge fell too low during extended storage to support normal hybrid operation. CORRECTION Recharge the high-voltage battery using the scan-tool Jump Assist procedure, clear P0BBD and P1A1F, and verify starting and hybrid operation.
2011 GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid – No Crank No Start With P0BBD
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine stalled and will not crank or restart. The Service Hybrid System message is displayed, and Battery Energy Control Module DTC P0BBD is stored. CAUSE Hybrid-battery testing confirmed the drive-motor battery assembly could no longer maintain the required operating voltage. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed drive-motor battery assembly.
2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid – No Start With P0BBD After Contaminated Fuel
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine will not start and the Service Hybrid System message is displayed after repeated restart attempts. Battery Energy Control Module DTC P0BBD is stored. CAUSE Inspection confirmed water-contaminated fuel had entered the fuel system, and repeated attempts to start the gasoline engine discharged the high-voltage battery.
