2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Stalls After Storage With P0BBD and P1A1F
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine stalls after the vehicle sat for an extended period and DTCs P0BBD and P1A1F are stored. CAUSE The high-voltage battery state of charge fell too low during extended storage to support normal hybrid operation. CORRECTION Recharge the high-voltage battery using the scan-tool Jump Assist procedure, clear P0BBD and P1A1F, and verify starting and hybrid operation.
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Oil Pressure Gauge at 0 PSI With P0523
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine oil-pressure gauge reads 0 PSI, and the Engine Control Module stores DTC P0523. CAUSE Circuit checks found 5 volts on the gray reference wire, ground on the black wire and 0 volts on the tan/white signal wire, confirming a failed engine oil-pressure sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed engine oil-pressure sensor.
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Airbag Light With B0085 and B0086
CUSTOMER CONCERN The airbag warning light stays on, and the Sensing and Diagnostic Module stores DTCs B0085 and B0086. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the purple/white and white wires for the left-front Side Impact Sensor were broken in the driver-door jamb. CORRECTION Repair the broken left-front Side Impact Sensor circuits in the driver-door jamb.
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Airbag Light With B1019
CUSTOMER CONCERN The airbag warning light remains on after replacement of the Sensing and Diagnostic Module. DTCs B1019, B0098, B0081, B0040 and B0033 are stored. CAUSE Module setup review confirmed the replacement Sensing and Diagnostic Module was missing its required vehicle calibration. CORRECTION Program and configure the replacement Sensing and Diagnostic Module with the correct vehicle calibration.
