2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Oil Pressure Gauge at 0 PSI With P0523

CUSTOMER CONCERN
The engine oil-pressure gauge reads 0 PSI, and the Engine Control Module stores DTC P0523.
CAUSE
Circuit checks found 5 volts on the gray reference wire, ground on the black wire and 0 volts on the tan/white signal wire, confirming a failed engine oil-pressure sensor.
CORRECTION
Remove and replace the failed engine oil-pressure sensor.
