2018 Toyota Prius Prime Advanced – Air Conditioning Inoperative With B14AC

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The air conditioning is inoperative and DTC B14AC returns even after replacement of the heat-pump ECU.

CAUSE

The No. 2 high-pressure magnetic-valve circuit had a broken wire behind the front bumper.

CORRECTION

Repair the broken No. 2 high-pressure magnetic-valve wire behind the bumper, clear DTC B14AC, and verify normal heat-pump air-conditioning operation.
