CUSTOMER CONCERN

After front-end collision repair, the air conditioning does not operate, DTC P0073 is stored, and ambient-temperature data remains fixed at 69°F with a 5-volt signal.

CAUSE

Rodent damage behind the front bumper chewed through the wiring harness leading to the ambient-air-temperature sensor.

CORRECTION

Repair the damaged ambient-air-temperature sensor wiring behind the front bumper, clear DTC P0073, and verify the temperature signal changes normally and A/C operation is restored.
