2017 Toyota Prius Door Lock Not Working – Main Body ECU and Dash Fuse Box Diagnosis

- 1 min read
2017 Toyota Prius door lock problems can involve the door lock actuator, wiring, dash fuse box, or Main Body ECU-controlled circuitry. A related Prius repair case showed the door lock itself operated when power and ground were applied directly, helping narrow the fault away from the actuator.
COMPLAINT
One door lock does not operate from the vehicle’s power lock system. Applying power and ground directly to the lock circuit operates the lock normally.
COMMON CAUSE
Testing indicates the door lock actuator is functional. Fault isolated to the dash fuse/junction box and related Main Body ECU-controlled door-lock circuitry.
CORRECTION
Verified Main Body ECU command and inspected the related wiring, terminals, connectors and dash fuse/junction box. Repaired the confirmed circuit fault and verified proper door-lock operation.
