2013 Toyota Prius V – C1231 After Steering Repairs

CUSTOMER CONCERN

DTC C1231 repeatedly returns after curb-impact steering and suspension repairs, even after steering-angle calibration.

CAUSE

The confirmed repair identified a failed steering-angle sensor after power, ground, CAN communication, and calibration checks.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the failed steering-angle sensor and perform the supported steering/yaw-rate calibration.
