2012 Toyota Prius – Hazard Lights Flash Continuously

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The turn-signal lamps flash continuously as though the hazard switch is on.

CAUSE

A fault in the hazard-switch input circuit kept the turn-signal/hazard flasher commanded on; the Yellow wire at flasher terminal 8 is the control input.

CORRECTION

Repair the hazard-switch input wiring between the switch and turn-signal/hazard flasher, then verify the hazard and turn-signal lamps operate only when commanded.
