2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid – Check Engine Light With U1008

CUSTOMER CONCERN
The check-engine light is on with DTC U1008 for lost communication with the radiator-shutter Active Air Flap.
CAUSE
Circuit testing specified approximately 2.5 volts on terminal 3 White and terminal 4 Brown C-CAN wires, battery voltage at terminal 1 Red, key-on battery voltage at terminal 2 Pink, and ground at terminal 6 Black. The confirmed failure was the Active Air Flap assembly.
CORRECTION
Remove and replace the Active Air Flap assembly, then verify C-CAN communication and radiator-shutter operation.
