2011 Honda CR-Z EX – Radio Inoperative With Theft Light Only

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The radio is inoperative. Only the theft indicator illuminates, and the CODE prompt does not appear.

CAUSE

Battery voltage was present at radio connector terminal A3 on the Pink wire and terminal A24 on the Purple wire, and the radio ground tested good. Inspection confirmed a navigation-equipped radio had been installed in a vehicle requiring the non-navigation unit.

CORRECTION

Remove the incorrect navigation radio and install the correct non-navigation radio, then verify audio-system operation.
