CUSTOMER CONCERN

The battery warning light is on and the vehicle is not charging. DTC P1634 is stored in the IMA system, with no related ECM code.

CAUSE

Testing and the confirmed repair identified a failed Intelligent Power Unit module fan.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the Intelligent Power Unit module fan, then verify hybrid charging-system operation.
