2011 Honda Civic Hybrid – No IMA Communication With U0110

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The scan tool cannot communicate with the IMA system, and DTCs U0110 and U1205 are stored.

CAUSE

Testing confirmed a failed Intelligent Power Unit fan module. The failed fan module caused the No. 61 10-amp IMA fuse in the auxiliary underhood fuse box to open.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the Intelligent Power Unit fan module and the open No. 61 10-amp IMA fuse, then verify IMA-module communication.
