2010 Lexus RX450h – Low Fuel Pressure and Lean Faults

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Lean-condition faults are present and measured fuel pressure is only 15 psi.

CAUSE

The in-tank fuel-pump seal was torn, allowing the pump to draw air and produce insufficient fuel pressure.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the fuel-pump module and damaged seal, clear the lean-condition DTCs, and verify normal fuel pressure and engine operation.
