2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid – Fuel Nozzle Keeps Shutting Off

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer reports the fuel-pump nozzle repeatedly shuts off while refueling. DTC P1450 may be stored in the Powertrain Control Module.

CAUSE

Inspection confirmed a restriction in the EVAP fresh-air pipe, preventing the fuel-tank vapor system from venting properly during refueling.

CORRECTION

Clean the restricted EVAP fresh-air pipe, remove the obstruction, and verify normal refueling and EVAP system operation.
