CUSTOMER CONCERN The fuel door intermittently will not open and the fuel tank is difficult to fill. CAUSE The charcoal canister was restricted, preventing the fuel tank from venting normally before the fuel door opened and during refueling. CORRECTION Remove and replace the restricted charcoal canister and verify the fuel door opens normally and the tank accepts fuel without restriction.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The fuel door will not open. CAUSE The fuel-door release switch connector was damaged, interrupting operation of the release system. CORRECTION Remove and replace the damaged fuel-door release switch connector and verify normal fuel-door release operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer reports the fuel-pump nozzle repeatedly shuts off while refueling. DTC P1450 may be stored in the Powertrain Control Module. CAUSE Inspection confirmed a restriction in the EVAP fresh-air pipe, preventing the fuel-tank vapor system from venting properly during refueling. CORRECTION Clean the restricted EVAP fresh-air pipe, remove the obstruction, and verify normal refueling and EVAP system operation.
