CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine will not crank or start. No DTCs are stored and the theft indicator proves out normally. CAUSE Ignition-switch circuit testing confirmed the steering-column lock module was preventing the start command. CORRECTION Remove and replace steering-column lock module. Verify normal key operation and engine starting.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the ignition key intermittently becomes difficult to turn into the start position, even after the lock cylinder and ignition switch were replaced. CAUSE Inspection under TSB 09-19-15 confirmed the steering-column lock module housing was binding the ignition mechanism. CORRECTION Remove and replace steering-column lock module. Verify smooth key rotation and normal starting operation.
