2014 Chevrolet Volt – Heater Blows Cold
CUSTOMER CONCERN Cabin heater blows cold when heat is selected. CAUSE The G36 auxiliary heater coolant pump did not run although its power, ground, light green/gray terminal 1 command circuit, and violet/yellow terminal 3 duty-cycle circuit tested correctly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the G36 auxiliary heater coolant pump and verify cabin heat operation.
2014 Chevrolet Volt – Service High Voltage Charging System With P1FFF
CUSTOMER CONCERN Service High Voltage Charging System message is displayed with DTC P1FFF. CAUSE Confirmed failed hybrid battery coolant level sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the hybrid battery coolant level sensor, clear DTC P1FFF, and verify the high-voltage charging system operates normally.
2014 Chevrolet Volt – No Crank No Start With P0AFA
CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle will not crank or start after dying in traffic. DTC P0AFA and related Hybrid Powertrain Control Module codes are stored. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the 12-volt battery was leaking acid and had failed, while the high-voltage battery retained normal voltage and state of charge. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed 12-volt battery, then perform the Clear Secured High Voltage DTCs procedure.
