CUSTOMER CONCERN

The airbag warning lamp is on after body repair and the Restraints Control Module stores DTC U2100.

CAUSE

The replacement Restraints Control Module was installed without completing Programmable Module Installation configuration.

CORRECTION

Program and configure the Restraints Control Module with the Ford Programmable Module Installation procedure, clear DTC U2100, and verify the airbag warning lamp remains off.
