CUSTOMER CONCERN

The air conditioning does not operate, and the HVAC module stores DTC B1B71:15.

CAUSE

The HVAC module detected the evaporator-temperature-sensor signal above 4.5 volts, and testing confirmed a failed A/C evaporator core discharge temperature sensor.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the failed A/C evaporator core discharge temperature sensor.
