CUSTOMER CONCERN
Customer states the oil-pressure warning light comes on while the engine is running. DTC P0521 is stored.
CAUSE
Mechanical oil-pressure testing remained normal while scan-tool pressure stayed low, confirming a failed engine oil-pressure sending unit.
CORRECTION
Remove and replace engine oil-pressure sending unit and inspect or replace the sender screen. Clear DTC P0521 and verify the warning light remains off with stable pressure readings.
