2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid – Reduced Engine Power With P2135
CUSTOMER CONCERN The Reduced Engine Power and Traction Off messages are displayed, and DTC P2135 is stored. CAUSE Throttle-position signal testing and the applicable service coverage confirmed a failed throttle-position sensor cover assembly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the throttle-position sensor cover, then program the Engine Control Module with the applicable calibration.
2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid – Intermittent No Crank With P0601
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle intermittently will not crank or start. DTC P0601 repeatedly returns. CAUSE PCM power and ground circuits tested correctly, confirming an internal memory fault in the Powertrain Control Module. CORRECTION Remove and replace Powertrain Control Module. Program module with current calibration, perform crankshaft-position variation relearn and clear DTC P0601.
2007 Honda Accord Hybrid – False Misfire Codes With No Engine Miss
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light is on with misfire codes even though the engine runs smoothly and no misfire is felt. CAUSE Diagnosis confirmed the PCM calibration was falsely detecting cylinder misfires. CORRECTION Program PCM with updated calibration. Clear misfire DTCs and perform crankshaft-position relearn.
2006 Ford Escape Hybrid – Wrench Light With P1A0C
CUSTOMER CONCERN The wrench warning appeared intermittently and the PCM stored P1A0C and P2105. CAUSE The electronic throttle body was confirmed faulty. CORRECTION The throttle body was replaced and the PCM calibration was updated.
2006 Honda Accord Hybrid – False Multiple-Cylinder Misfire Codes
CUSTOMER CONCERN Multiple-cylinder misfire codes were recorded even though the engine ran smoothly and no actual misfire was felt. CAUSE The PCM calibration was falsely detecting misfires. CORRECTION The PCM was reprogrammed and the crankshaft-position sensor learn procedure was performed.
