CUSTOMER CONCERN The ECM stores EVAP DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, P2419, and P0456 at the same time. CAUSE The leak-detection pump in the evaporative-emissions system failed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed leak-detection pump, clear the EVAP DTCs, and verify the EVAP monitor completes without resetting P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, P2419, or P0456.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on with EVAP very-small-leak DTC P0456. CAUSE Smoke testing with soapy water exposed hairline cracks around the charcoal-canister mounting bolts. CORRECTION Remove and replace the cracked charcoal canister, clear P0456, and verify the EVAP system passes its leak test.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the malfunction indicator light is on. EVAP small-leak DTC P0456 is stored. CAUSE Smoke testing with a soapy-water check confirmed a crack in the plastic fuel-pump housing below the retaining ring. CORRECTION Remove and replace the fuel-pump assembly.
