2013 Lexus CT200h – Check Engine Light With P0016
CUSTOMER CONCERN After cylinder-head gasket service, DTC P0016 sets. CAUSE Camshaft timing was misaligned after engine reassembly. CORRECTION Reset the camshaft timing to specification, clear DTC P0016, and verify proper cam/crank correlation and engine operation.
2014 Lexus CT200h – Transaxle Chatter With P0301 and P0302
CUSTOMER CONCERN Engine misfires with DTCs P0301 and P0302 while the transaxle produces a severe chattering noise. CAUSE Coolant was visible inside a cylinder during borescope inspection, confirming a leaking cylinder-head gasket; the engine misfire caused the transaxle chatter. CORRECTION Remove the cylinder head, replace the failed head gasket, refill and bleed the engine cooling system, clear DTCs P0301 and P0302, and verify smooth engine and transaxle operation.
2012 Lexus CT200h – No Ready Mode With P0A0D
CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle will not enter READY mode after collision repairs and P0A0D returns after clearing. CAUSE The HV battery service plug was inserted but not moved fully into its locked position, leaving the high-voltage interlock circuit open. CORRECTION Seat and lock the HV battery service plug correctly, clear P0A0D, and verify the vehicle enters READY mode.
2011 Lexus CT200h – Startup Rattle and Multiple Misfire Codes
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine rattles badly at startup and misfires. The ECM stores DTCs P0300, P0302, P0303 and P0304. CAUSE Confirmed failed ignition coils and worn spark plugs caused the startup misfire and rattle. CORRECTION Remove and replace the ignition coils and spark plugs.
