2011 Toyota Prius – ABS Pump Runs Repeatedly With C1391
CUSTOMER CONCERN DTC C1391 is stored and the ABS actuator pump cycles repeatedly while a hissing sound comes from the actuator. CAUSE Accumulator pressure repeatedly fell from about 3.8 volts to 3.2 volts, causing the pump to restart. The actuator leaked internally past its solenoids and could not hold brake pressure. CUSTOMER CONCERN Check-engine and master-warning lights return every few days with DTC P0A80. CAUSE Battery-cooling-fan service did not prevent P0A80 from returning. Hybrid battery block monitoring and repeated exact-source confirmations identified a deteriorated high-voltage battery pack. CORRECTION Remove and replace the high-voltage battery pack, clear DTC P0A80, and verify the hybrid warning lights remain off.
2011 Toyota Prius – Warning Lights and P261C After Engine Runs Briefly
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine runs for a few minutes before the check-engine and master-warning indicators illuminate. DTC P261C is stored. CAUSE Confirmed failure of the electric engine water pump caused the commanded and actual pump speeds to disagree and set DTC P261C. CORRECTION Remove and replace the electric engine water pump, ENG W/P relay and associated fuse.
2011 Toyota Prius – No Start and Stuck in Park With C2309
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle will not start, will not shift out of Park and cannot be switched off normally after the discharged 12-volt battery was replaced. DTC C2309 is stored. CAUSE Confirmed failed IGCT relay interrupted B+ power through the IGCT No. 2 and No. 3 fuse circuits to the transmission control ECU.
