CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states one or both HID headlights shut off after operating for several minutes and return when the headlight switch is cycled. CAUSE Power and ground tested correctly at the headlamp assemblies, confirming the HID bulbs were drawing incorrect current and triggering ballast shutdown. CORRECTION Remove and replace failed HID headlight bulbs. Verify both low-beam headlights remain illuminated.
