CUSTOMER CONCERN The brakes do not respond through the first portion of pedal travel and then apply abruptly. DTC C1247 is stored. CAUSE Brake-pedal stroke-sensor and circuit testing confirmed the brake-pedal stroke sensor had failed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed brake-pedal stroke sensor.
